Enhancing Mental Health Support Infrastructure
The challenge section
The challenge
Foundation Sixty6 is an up-and-coming organization dedicated to improving mental healthcare accessibility and affordability in Southwestern Ontario, with a focus on Psychosis, Schizophrenia, and Bipolar disorder. This college project aimed to design, develop, and pitch a professional marketing and advertising campaign and website for Foundation Sixty6. As a backend developer, my challenge was to create a structured MySQL database, develop a custom CMS for content management, and build a Lumen API for seamless frontend-backend communication.

Solution and process section
Solution
The solution for Foundation Sixty6 involved three main components: a structured MySQL database, a custom Content Management System (CMS), and a Lumen API. By efficiently storing content, empowering administrators with easy management tools, and enabling seamless communication between frontend and backend, this comprehensive approach supported the organization's mission of improving mental healthcare accessibility and affordability in Southwestern Ontario.
Process
The process involved analyzing requirements and designing a MySQL database for efficient content storage. Subsequently, a custom CMS was created to facilitate easy content management by administrators. Leveraging the Lumen PHP framework, a robust backend infrastructure was built with RESTful API endpoints for seamless communication with the frontend.
